Self-fill at home, without mailing anything to us.

The Keepsake is the only Lanternward piece designed for self-filling. We never need you to mail ashes, fur, tags, or keepsakes to us. You choose the hour, prepare the surface, and stop if you need to.

    Open the chamber

    Set the keepsake on a folded cloth. Turn the chamber cap counter-clockwise — about a quarter turn — until it lifts free. Take a breath.

  2. ii.

    Place what you have chosen

    A pinch of his ash, a soft lock of her fur, a folded note, a dried petal. The chamber is small on purpose — it is not for storing, only for holding.

  3. iii.

    Mark it with wax

    If you want to mark the moment, make a small wax mark beside the keepsake. This is optional; the chamber itself is closed by the screw cap.
